Pakistan to play Bangladesh in T20I tri-series opener on 7 October

Lahore, 28 June 2022: 
                                    Pakistan, as a feature of their ICC Men's T20 World Cup Australia 2022 arrangements, will partake in a T20I tri-series in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 7-14 October with Bangladesh as the third side.

Number-three positioned Pakistan will take on number-eight positioned Bangladesh on 7 October and number-six positioned New Zealand on the next day. In the second round of matches, Pakistan will play New Zealand and Bangladesh on 11 and 13 October, separately with the last planned for Friday, 14 October.

In the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will open their mission against India in Melbourne on 23 October. They will then play the two qualifiers on 27 and 30 October in Perth, prior to taking on South Africa on 3 November in Sydney and Bangladesh on 6 November in Adelaide.

Pakistan commander Babar Azam: "I'm satisfied that we will highlight in the tri-series in New Zealand as it will assist us with showing up before the expected time and not just adjust for the T20 World Cup in Australia yet additionally give last contacts to our arrangements.

"I missed the last series in New Zealand because of a thumb injury and anticipate playing cricket in Christchurch against two great restrictions."

Pakistan will withdraw for Christchurch on 4 October in the wake of finishing their seven-match T20I series against England on 2 October. Before the England series, Pakistan will partake in the ACC T20 Asia Cup, which is plan for Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 27 August to 11 September.
